Capacity and Performance of Justice Delivery Systems

A core area of our research has been to unearth the underlying causes for judicial pendency and delay. Through multiple data-driven reports on courts’ performance, we have been able to present a better understanding of the underlying systemic problems in court administration, processes and interdependencies with other ancillary institutions. Our reports highlight the need for customised strategy to reform courts at various levels of judicial hierarchy rather than a one-size-fits all approach which is usually dictated by the higher judiciary.

JALDI aims to continue to expand its research, one court and case category at a time. Below is a list of our completed work under this theme.
