Lawyers' Collective Consultation
The JALDI team at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy released a series of consultation papers titled "Civil Litigation Process for the Digital Age" and sought to engage practising advocates for feedback on the viability of the proposed solutions. Thus the Lawyers' Collective came to be and the first session was convened to discuss a range of issues pertaining to the content of these papers, spanning various aspects of the legal process. Mr. Vishwajith Sadananda, Founder, Sadananda and Prasad The meeting was structured into two sessions, each designed to tackle different aspects of legal proceedings. During the first session, the focus was on gaining insights and problem-solving on some of the specific solutions presented in three of the consultation papers published by the team . The papers included: “e-Filing - User-centric e-filing system for the District Judiciary”, “Summons - Maximising efficiency in summons delivery,” and “Decoding Delays Role of IAs and measures to streamline them”. In the second session, lawyers were divided into groups to facilitate focused group discussions targeting the issues prevalent in the evidence and arguments stages of a trial.
